Photographing natural light is by far my favorite subject, and while this may not be true, I think that it’s unique in the fact that no sunrise or sunset is exactly the same-every angle is different. I took this photo while my mom was walking around the track at Thomas More. I chose it as the cover photo because it brings to remembrance the events of the day, and how everything is winding down, or ‘burning out’ as the day comes to a close. I especially love photographing sky scenes because I find solace in the sky after a particularly stressful day. When I look at the sky, its almost as if I forget all of the troubles that occur below it, knowing that the sky is always calm and comforting, even in storms. I just consider the sky to be one of the most magnificent features in a world full of them.
